Left-handed reliever Hong-Chih Kuo was able to play catch on flat ground Thursday for a second consecutive day without further discomfort in his brittle elbow. Nonetheless, Kuo said he did not know when he would be able to throw off a mound, leaving him very unlikely to be ready to start the regular season.
