Young Traded to Pirates
The Dodgers are trading switch-hitting outfielder Delwyn Young to the Pittsburgh Pirates for two players to be named, according to a baseball source. Young was designated for assignment Monday to make room on the 40-man roster for infielder Juan Castro, who replaced Blake DeWitt. Young had been on a rehab assignment while on the disabled list recovering from last year’s elbow surgery. Young, 26, was a fourth-round pick in 2002. — Ken Gurnick

The Pirates are getting a very good player who we just didn’t have the room for on the roster.
What are the rules on a player to be named later. Do we get the pick of the litter or 2nd round and below draft choices from two years ago or is some other method used to determine who “the player to be named later” is?
If it’s the Dodgers choice I wish they’d take the cash.
We don’t need to pick up players and put them right back where DY was, with no place to play.
