Schmidt to Debut Monday

Jason Schmidt, on the comeback from two shoulder operations, will pitch one inning of an intrasquad game Monday as he launches his bid to win the fifth starter spot. Jonathan Broxton, who leaves March 1 for the World Baseball Classic, also will throw in the game. The remainder of the pitchers, according to manager Joe Torre: Erick Threets, Greg Miller, Scott Elbert, Justin Orenduff, Jesus Castillo, Brent Leach, Victor Garate and Jacobo Meque. — Ken Gurnick

I was hoping to find out we had signed Manny. What the @#&* are we waiting for. Lets go 3 years for 75 million and be done with it. They will reap that back in no time. Lets get ready to play ball. My new computer will arrive on monday, ready to set up for and watch all the games on the wide screen. I live in the midwest so I can’t see the games in LA in person.
Lets go Dodgers

Just back from vacation and was pleasantly surprised to see this blog. As I’ve said before, I appreciate your no nonsense reporting.
I think Weaver can be very important to how the season goes.
He was a favorite when he was here before, and if he can regain his former self he will be a great addition. Any updates concerning him will be greatly appreciated.
