Torre Says Bullpen Ready
Manager Joe Torre said only Cory Wade is unavailable for Tuesday night’s Dodgers game against Arizona. Jeff Weaver will start for the Dodgers with a pitch-count target of 75, meaning Torre is likely to go to the bullpen early. His long man will be James McDonald, whose place in the rotation Weaver is taking.
Torre also said Jason Schmidt threw 100 pitches in an extending Spring Training game Monday, will have a bullpen session Wednesday, and that could lead to a Minor League rehab assignment. — Ken Gurnick
